"Contraception" is Murder, 10-6, October, 2012

Formerly, Abortion is Murder, and, before that, skyp (stop  the killing of young people)

“Contraception”  is Murder, a weak, pathetic response to baby murder, is sent out at least once a month.  If the gestapo hasn’t jailed you for defending the innocent realistically, you either have to tell me you want it or go to the website.  Emails are free but snail-mail is free only for PFCs, $800 for others.

Because I believe we should examine every legitimate means, including force, in our attempt to protect those being tortured to death, I want to hear from people who’ve been forceful and from those who defend them.  I’d also like to hear from those who oppose the prolife use of force and call it violence

FACTOID: PRESIDENT OBAMA PRODUCT OF STATUTORY RAPE

Dear John, The average time it takes from conception to birth is estimated to be 266 days. President Obama was born on August 4, 1961. Subtracting 266 days gives an estimated date of conception of November 11, 1960. President Obama's mother was born on November 29, 1942. This means she was 17 years old at the time of the President's estimated conception, and 18 days away from her 18th birthday.

According to U.S. immigration records, President Obama's father was born on June 18, 1934. This means he was 27 years old at the time of the President's estimated conception. Until recent times, in Hawaii a female had to be at least 18 years old before an adult male could legally have sexual relations with her. Otherwise it was statutory rape of an underage female.

President Obama's birth certificate lists his father's race as "African" and his mother's race as "Caucasian."
Hence, assuming the President was conceived from sexual relations taking place between his mother and father where the age of consent was 18, then going by the estimated date of his conception, this means President Obama is legally the product of the statutory rape of a 17 year old Caucasian female by a 27 year old African male.
So if President Obama supports abortion in cases of rape, it would mean aborting himself.

Put another way, since Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan support abortion in cases of rape, it means they would support aborting their opponent, President Obama. Sincerely, Cal

The top Catholic official in the United States, Timothy Dolan, cardinal of New York, is proving to be more of a stumbling block on the path to removing the death penalty from young people even than his ineffective predessors, Egan, O’Connor, and Cooke.  O’Connor, at least, challenged Clinton, and Egan Kerry (see below).  And I remember Cooke’s first powerful prolife message (as he approached his deathbed, though, and long after losing power).

This response to a column by Phil Lawler captures the truth:

I think you have analyzed this one exactly right, Phil. Cardinal Dolan's predecessors knew better than to invite President Clinton in 1996 and Sen. Kerry in 2004 because of their positions on abortion. President Obama's hostility to Catholic morals and the works of the Church is much worse. Cardinal Dolan is revealing a tragic naivete. If he does this, why should anyone take seriously any great statements he might make in the future? His actions will have drowned out his words.

Enough of these men of Irish descent.  Just because those people once believed does not mean they still do. How ‘bout an Hispanic, a Dane, a convert!

Jimbo responds to Kathy Ramey, and more:

The Ramadan Glorious Divine Set-up Fed. SNAFU Partial Field Report

Hi John!  Pax C!  What a troubled web Web Masters weave when first they practice to report fragments of gossip!  (. . . oh, admit it John!  You love it.)

I never dreamt you'd report anything on the above Divine Set-up (Hi, Fr. Norm!).

Predictably, this fragmented report from the frontlines of the BOP Culture Wars (soon to be unleashed on [currently] out-of-custody taxpayers) has apparently produced confusion. Overmuch space in skyp is off-point, John, methinx.  It's not about me or any of us prisoners.  We're all doing infinitely better than the 4300 children that got their heads ripped off in the last 24 hours, while we talked about it.

Also, I am handcuffed about what I can or can't say to you, as anyone listed at the top of skyp can testify. TESTIFY!, brothers and sisters.  Yeah!  Until I can tell you more about the kerfuffle, which is still kerfuffling, let me make a few tiny points but then move on to something more pressing, I think.

  By The Numbers

  1.     The full story is a huge blot and scandal on the name and reputation of my dear US evangelical brothers and sisters.  They may want to hear the entire story first.  My own Evan/charismatic (blood) family is offended and disgusted.

  2.     The Ramadan fast was approved not only by all the chaplains here on staff (including an Evan and an RC priest) but also by my own spiritual director.

  3.     Evangelism to 'tough’ ministries may not be for everyone. I've been studying and hanging out with Muslims forty years. Either way, its between you and the Lord, the call.

  4.     What we call 'Ramadan' was originally a Byzantine fast. Islam is a 'borrow' religion.  It doesn’t deny this.  I am a Byzantine.

Wachet Auf, Campers!  Here's The Good Part --

  5.     Now, please, permit me to make the Prime Distinction; i.e., between my being anywhere near a Muslim who's bowing down toward a godam rock in Arabia, pity's sake! and eating with them outside of said worship, exactly as Jesus did with sinners, and for His reasons, and with His help, please God -- Mk 2:13;  see, also, I beg you, the same scriptural scene depicted in the DVD Jesus of Nazareth (Zefferelli: Mr. T's fave flick)

  6.     I have no less than three Spirit-filled Christians who, I thank God so much, devote much spiritual effort to making sure that I never violate the Prime Distinction in any way, 'appearance of evil' or substance.  Ditto:  'yard' Evans, who know all about it and encourage it.

  7.     These Christians are mishes to all lost people, not just Muslims, as I am and as I'm sure skyp readers are.  They are also rescuers I met in the clink 25-30 years ago.

  8.     If a reader has never heard a mish-sermon at their churches which began with the words"! will never forget the day the Lord first put a love for the Muslims on my heart. . ." this is such a shame and so sad as to bring me to tears.  What can I say?  In abject sadness, and scrambling for a helpful thought, I might humbly suggest, with tears in my eyes, that they find such a church, please God, and never leave it.

  9.   What a shame if we Christians had never known a Muslim, never taken one to dinner, never had a Muslim over for Christmas dinner or accepted an invite to their house.  How about this?  Never taken our family, including young children, to the Sudan and malaria and schistosomiasis, to preach the Gospel, like one of my Spirit-filled advisors did in the 60's, oh about forty years before Clueless George found Darfur on a map (Oh, lighten up George!  It's all good. . . ).  PL = Mish.  You see, Timmy?  Oh,  Sorry.  You see John, part of the confusion could be that readers mayn't know, and why should they? -- that before I was a Pier I was a mish from a family of mishes.  That didn't stop when I signed up here.

Wycliffe Bible Translators is the best most sacrificial board in the world.  They make sixteenth cent. Jesuits look like pansies. In all my time in Africa, South America and Asia, I always heard the question 'How's the movement going back in the States?' the instant I told the in-countries I was a rescuer.

Sadly I had to tell them that the enemy of babies in the US was the same enemy of their own missions: US suburban culture, be it Fake Catholic or Fake Evangelical flavor. ... an enemy known to skyp readers, of course.

I'm sad this confusion happened.  But maybe the Lord could be 'writing straight with crooked lines'? Maybe He'd like some discussion about this?  DV I'll send the rest of the story when it's time, but it’s way ugly for the Evan fellowship, sadly.

A Last Thought: someone will take over the US soon.  Nature abhors a vacuum and we created one with cultural suicide; total collapse may tarry, but it's inevitable; of all the possible non-Christian scourges the Lord could raise it would be well within His economy to bring a non-Christian anti-abortion dominating culture, e.g. Islam.

Did you know Falwell spent the last three years of his life studying Islam and outreaching?

Not for lack of opportunity US Christians have completely failed. The window is gone. Enslavement is a scripturally logical punishment for a people who failed to free mom and baby slaves (Is.58) when they had everything.  Cheerleading!  Yay!

Still, John, I can't shake it, you know? That whole my daughter thing.  No one feels this, obviously.  Maybe they could pretend? Fake it 'till you make it, and you will make it my yoga teacher.

nuclear war is the fruit of abortion, charity is the fruit of prayer,  prayer is the fruit of silence.

Mother T, L'audace, 1'audace, toujours 1'audace! -- Frederick the Great, You gotta give it everything ya got, or else ya got nothing to talk about in the locker room -- Ruth Gordon, A life saved by grace is a life with good works in it -- Rev. J. Vernon McGee, Roses are red, grass is green, get off :you butt and join the Marines -- John Wayne, Be flexible [. . . and stop what you are doing and help me with this emergency now]    Nancy Kopp, RN

  On Another Topic

Could I ask a favor of my fellow jailbirds: I haven't heard any news from a bunch of you, in ages!  Could you please do John a favor and write today?  Just anything, OK?  It could be details of jail life (with a little discretion, a lot of this can be told, like it’s a soap opera or something, you know?  I know there are tons of people who would like to hear from you.  DV next time I hope to give a few details about how blog-friendly info, can come out of the beast with way less drama than you think, OK?  But in the meanwhile please put quill to parchment.  Your mission to a dying culture is still going on, maybe not like you'd expect, huh?  But then Paul was dragged off to Rome in chains and still witnessed and wrote a helluva letter.  Many people would like to hear.  Also, I believe it’s appropriate to give skyp readers at least a little idea of the mess that's about to be unleashed on them, and any inmate has a bird's eye view of that.  Hope to hear from you soon.  Please.

Oh I do love it.  My favorite sign is this: WHY DO CATHOLICS AND JEWS, BUT NOT MUSLIMS, KILL THEIR CHILDREN.  Catholics hate that sign but whataya gonna do when half the cars at the mill have rosary beads hanging from the rear view mirrors?
  --------------------------------------------------------------------

And here’s Kathy’s reaction after reading that Obama had succeeded in making it lawful for fifteen year old girls to be sterilized without their parents’ consent:

While the Church is enraptured with the world's "social justice" programs, God suffers one unjust slap in the face, after another.

The U.S. Supreme Court says it's a "right" to kill the most innocent of people, slaughtering the Unborn; starving the disabled; refusing care to the elderly....and we bow the knee to Caesar, saying, "Yes, God, I know you said we are to protect the innocent, but God, you must understand that we need to obey the U.S. Supreme Court’s final authority on these matters...."

  SLAP!!

You blush at the idea of actively protesting the "Birth Control Mandate" that would serve to try and force the godly to help buy aborting drugs for the ungodly. You stand silent, supposing God cares about your rationalizations for not getting involved to fight such an evil.

   SLAP!! SLAP!!

"Yes, Lord, you are the Creator who designs purpose and functionality in our bodies, but Lord, you must understand, fertility can get in the way of our pleasures.... You want us to be happy, don't you; and all those young girls having to abstain from sex, well, that would just be wrong, wouldn't it?"

    SLAP!! SLAP!! SLAP!!

And, "Lord, I am personally opposed to divorce and homosexuality, but it would really be 'unloving' to denounce those who practice such things....Why, they might turn away from the Gospel if they think it is too intolerant, and we know you 'love the sinner' and just 'hate the sin,' right?"

     SLAP!! SLAP!!! SLAP!!!! SLAP!!!!

You tolerate "church members" living in habitual sins of fornication, adultery, murder and stealing from God, lest these "Christians" be offended and forget to throw their silver in your offering plates.

When will pastors, teachers and Christians whose God-given consciences testify against these evils take a stand? You pretend to save people half-way across the globe, but leave your own flocks to be eaten by wolves.
You preen over your "missionary endeavors" and how much money you have raised to feed starving children elsewhere in the world, as if God could not provide in abundance to those people and nations that turn to Him. And all the while, you are blind hypocrites and you lie against Almighty God by denying justice to God and justice to those close at hand.

You set the wolf at the door so that the faithful will suffer not merely in conscience, but as prey before a state and world that stands unchallenged by Light from your pulpits.

Blind thieves!! How long will you go on, judging unjustly and teasing yourselves with the idea that you are righteous before God? Get off your knees! (Psa 20:7-8)

Will not the God of all the earth judge even you?
  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I’m partial to Jesuits because my son is one.  I know, I know, but take it from me, the new ones believe.  Anyway, a Jesuit wrote this a long time ago:

Let me show you a good way to ask for happiness even in this world.  It is a way to oblige God to listen to you.  Say to him earnestly: either give me so much money that my heart will be satisfied, or inspire me with such contempt for it that I no longer want it.  Either free me from poverty, or make it so pleasant for me that I would not exchange it for all the wealth in the world.  Either take away my suffering, or – which would be to your greater glory – change it into delight for me, and instead of causing me affliction, let it become a source of joy.  You can take away the burden of my cross, or you can leave it with me without my feeling its weight.  You can extinguish the fire that burns me, or you can let it burn in such a way that it refreshes me as it did the three youths in the fiery furnace.  I ask you for either one thing or the other.  What does it matter in what way I am happy?  If I am happy through the possession of worldly goods, it is you I have to thank.  If I am happy when deprived of them, it gives you greater glory and my thanks are all the greater.

The true shame in this holocaust falls on those prolifers, that’s 97% of us, who would disagree with what Rev. Bray says here following a story about Angel Dillard:

We are happy to urge folks to follow the calling God has placed on their lives regarding the rescue of the innocents issue. Some are called to talk, others to serve women in crisis pregnancies, some to blow the damn places up, and others to terminate the terminators.

Give thanks for His wonderful gifts and callings.

Whatdayaknow!  Cardinal Dolan answered my Manhattan buddy’s letter, posted in September’s newsletter:

office of the cardinal

1011 first avenue new york, NY  IOO22

August 23, 2012

Mr. Scott Freeman

15 Cross Street

Williston Park, NY 11596

Dear Mr. Freeman:

Thank you most sincerely for your letter of August 11, 2012. Your thoughtfulness is deeply appreciated

Please know how very grateful I am for your kindness in telling me about yourself and your family. Be assured that I could not agree with you more on the issues, and your having lived through the atrocities of the Holocaust only make your arguments that much more formidable.

Now, to respond more directly to your criticism. We live in a culture where, sadly, neither religion nor the natural law means much to many people, some of them in elected office. Our best hope to succeed in eventually reversing immoral practices and laws is to gradually win our adversaries over to the truth. Trust me, this is not an easy feat. In doing so, I will be happy to move ahead in incremental steps through compromise, while we continue our efforts and discussions. As they say, half a loaf - for now - is better than nothing, as Blessed John Paul II observed in Evangelium Vitae. While you may disagree with this program, I am willing to take whatever I can whenever it comes our way. Remember, too, that many of these elected officials either profess no faith or are of faiths other than Catholic, and this leaves less room to insist on an all or nothing at all approach. Many would be only too happy to say, "Great, Cardinal, then it's nothing at all."

Also, I see this as going about it the Lord's way. In scripture, we see Our Lord doing His best to win over His adversaries by presenting the truth.

As to the seating of elected officials in the cathedral, it is the Church's sign of respect for the offices held by our elected officials, and not a sign of agreement or satisfaction with the particular officeholders and their positions. They do the same for me at public events out of respect for the office of Archbishop of New York.

I trust this resolves your concerns.

With prayerful best wishes for the remainder of a blessed summer, I am, \

                                Faithfully in Christ,

                                [signed]

                                Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan

                                Archbishop of New York

My buddy doesn’t type, so he sends stuff to me.  And as Cal and Jimbo can attest, I never just type, I change. Here’s my buddy’s response to the cardinal, followed by mine.

Cardinal Dolan,

Thank you, effusively,  for your reply to my August 11th letter.  However, I am intellectually (still) bedraggled, and confused.  So, please help me to understand your theological, spiritual road map “to the promised land,” heaven.  As to Paragraph 3 of yours,

Please send me, in its entirety, the text of John Paul II’s (in English of course), Evangelium Vitae, so that I can scrutinize, and evaluate your interpretation of it, which you claim gives Christians the right, when dealing with evil, to solve it, or try to censure and stop its effects and spread, by employing the “half-a-loaf” approach.

Kindly give me a copy (which might give me insight) as to what I consider to be your unGodly conclusion, as to how you arrived at this apparent error on the Teachings of our Holy Mother Church. Paragraph 4, yours,

In like manner, please tell me how the Lord’s telling the truth justifies this “half-a-loaf” approach.

Your letter has not resolved my concerns.  Please reply promptly, so that I can readily fathom your workings.

Make the Church, our Church, and all of its babies in its dominion, as I am.

  Yours in Baby Jesus’ name.

 . . .Scott Free . . . man

                    Scott Freeman

Cardinal Dolan,

Thank you for your reply to my August 11th letter.  However, I am still confused.  Please help me understand your spiritual road map “to the promised land,” heaven.

I perused John Paul II’s Evangelium Vitae to see if I would agree with you when you say the Pope there gives Christians the right to oppose evil by employing the “half-a-loaf” approach.  I have not been able to find that passage.  Could you be more specific?

Moreover, the second sentence in your fourth paragraph seems to contradict the first.  The Lord’s way was to present the truth, not to present half of it.

I have always considered the “half-a-loaf” interpretation of the teachings of Holy Mother Church to be unGodly, and I am anxious to see why you believe that or to discover where I went wrong.

Yours in Baby Jesus’ name,   Scott Free . . .man

This morning outside Planned Parenthood a tiny and beautiful black girl stopped on her way to school.  She pointed to the severed head on my ABORTION KILLS CHILDREN sign.

“My mom had two of those,” she said, “I didn’t speak to‘er for a week.”

After a brief sad silence she continued, “She said she won’t have any kids by my step-dad, only by my dad.”

  That made her feel better.

  The Pro-Life Movement is Dead

Always feeble and delicate, as pacifists are apt to be, the Pro-Life Movement in the United States of America finally succumbed to the rigors of life in the modern age and was pronounced dead. D-E-A-D.
Why did such a noble sounding endeavor with such a noble sounding name-PRO-O-O-O-LIFE! - die?
Simple: the "pro-life" movement finally proved it was not pro-life at all. In the face of real danger created by the Federal Access To Clinic Entrances Act, the "pro-life" movement proved it had all along been the "cover-your-ass-while-you-salve-your-conscience" movement.
Look at the record. In 1973, the "pro-life" movement began what was claimed to be a good faith attempt to reveal the Will of God concerning the slaughter of His children. In the subsequent two and a half decades, the pro-life movement took a decent and orderly series of actions.
During that period, every ordinary method of redress of grievance was attempted: Presidents were elected, majorities in Congress were elected, lawsuits were filed, millions of letters were written, millions of prayers were said, thousands were arrested in non-violent civil disobedience. And, like clockwork, each move taken by the "pro-life" movement was countered by a Federal government controlled by people hell bent on slaughtering God's children in defiance of the "pro-life" movement.
Finally, when the Federal Access to Clinic Entrances Act made the next logical non-violent resistance procedure so costly as to be tantamount to life in prison, the "pro-life" movement shrank back in fear and loathing. And in so doing, the "pro-life" movement showed its true colors. Instead of being those who, like their namesakes in the letter to the Hebrews, do not shrink back in the face of death, the "pro-life" movement proved it had been what the world claimed all along-a self-serving, hypocritical manifestation of willful man's attempt to control other people, rather than an actual outworking of the actual Will of the actual Creator of the actual universe.

The line between obedience and cowardice

In a government like the one given to the people of the United States of America, there is always a thin line separating necessary obedience from the rankest cowardice. When a government derives its authority from the people, as this one does, the people of necessity must be willing to cooperate with majority decisions for the sake of lawful order. Up to a point. But when majority decisions become evil and utterly contrary to the instructions given by God in Holy Scripture, those who claim to live to worship and obey God are thrust into a fateful decision. If they delay withdrawing their cooperation from an evil government one second longer than that which is mandated by God Himself, such people enter into rebellion against God just as if they had never known Him.
The history of the "pro-life" movement clearly demonstrates that, up to a point, each stage of the resistance was an attempt to follow the decent and orderly duly authorized mechanisms of resistance to government turned tyrannical. But the day came when the results of all those twenty-five years of decent and orderly resistance were plain to see. Having done everything that decent and orderly protest required, the children of God were being slaughtered with as much impunity and with as much government protection as in the beginning of the protest movement. At that point in time, the "pro-life" movement was forced to ask itself this question: could, in good faith and good conscience, these same procedures continue to be relied on to bring about change, even when those procedures had proven themselves to be incapable of protecting God's children? In other words, can we keep doing the same things over and over, yet expect different results?
Different results require different procedures. To ignore this fundamental natural law is to demonstrate either extraordinary ignorance or an actual desire to avoid different results.
But wait! If the "pro-life" movement was actually concerned about God's children being slaughtered, what could make them decide to avoid different procedures? What could make them decide the "pro-life" movement was only authorized to keep doing over and over things that had proven themselves incapable of protecting the lives of God's children?
All the easy procedures had been tried, that's why. Twenty-five years of decent and orderly political protest had exhausted all the easy, non-violent mechanisms of redress of grievance. All that remained were the hard ways, the painful ways, the deadly ways.

The hard truth about God's plan for government

Those who signed the Declaration of Independence explained this phase of resistance to government tyranny in the following words: "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce [the people] under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
Now that the easy things have all been done, and the present evil regime has made it clear it has no intention of allowing God's plan for government to be restored in this nation, the time for remembering the self-evident truth defined in the Declaration of Independence has arrived. But instead of stepping up and accepting responsibility for doing what comes next, the "pro-life" movement has shrunk back into a cloud of denial, pretending it is God's will for His people to tolerate the slaughter of the least of these, rather than harken to the words writ in blood by the forefathers of the United States of America. In so doing, the "pro-life" movement branded itself with an undeniable mark of cowardice.
Anybody who has paid attention for the last ten years could have seen it coming.
